A former high school physics teacher and current college physics professor, Bob leads the sport science research program at St. John Fisher University, where he integrates his deep understanding of physics, biomechanics, and data analytics to advance the study of athletic performance. His ability to translate complex theoretical concepts into practical insights makes him a key contributor, helping bridge the gap between cutting-edge research and real-world training optimization.
Makena Evans brings a rich interdisciplinary background that spans physics, data science, and athletic performance analytics. Certified in AI Fundamentals and Data Literacy, she has spent years conducting data analytics in university athletics, developing a deep understanding of how precise metrics and rigorous testing can optimize training regimens. Leveraging her expertise in Python and advanced statistical techniques, Makena transforms complex performance datasets into actionable insights that drive evidence-based decision-making. Prior to joining our team, she played a pivotal role in the startup of the sports science research program at St. John Fisher University, crafting sophisticated analytics tools that informed strategic directions and built a strong foundation for future success.
